With the above challenges looming large at the industry, CII conceptualized TCM (Total Cost Management) Division in late 1990’s with an objective to accelerate and enhance ‘competitive journey of Indian industry’.

About TCM Awards

CII TCM Division has instituted “TCM Awards” to recognise and honour the outstanding achievements of successful, innovative and competitive organisations in their space. The companies are recognized and awarded for their cost improvements across the value chain and profit growth.

Awarding companies for delivering consistent cost excellence and productivity in manufacturing Sector

Section	Details
About the Award	The Manufacturing Champion CII-TCM Award is to recognize and felicitate companies that have consistently delivered excellence in productivity and cost optimization within a manufacturing setup
Eligibility Criteria	Companies with a turnover higher than INR 1000 Cr, a market presence of at least 5 years with positive economic profit over the last 5 years are eligible for this award
Evaluation Process and Key Criteria	There will be 2 stages of evaluation with an initial shortlisting based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative metrics across key themes by CII core team of industry experts. This will be followed by a jury round comprising hand picked industry leaders from different fields. Key Themes: Financial performance across EBITDA, COGS, ROCE etc. Manufacturing excellence across OEE, cost excellence, manpower productivity, power cost etc. Post-manufacturing costs including, supply chain, procurement, distributions, marketing etc.

Awarding companies for their value creation and achieving cost efficiency in Services sector

Eligibility Criteria	Companies with a turnover lower than INR 1000 Cr, a market presence of at least 5 years with positive economic profit over the last 5 years are eligible for this award
Evaluation Process and Key Criteria	There will be 2 stages of evaluation with an initial shortlisting based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative metrics across key themes by CII core team of industry experts. This will be followed by a jury round comprising hand picked industry leaders from different fields. Key Themes: Financial performance across EBITDA, COGS, ROCE etc. Services excellence across realization rates, cost efficiency, productivity etc

Eligibility Criteria	Companies with a turnover lower than INR 1000 Cr, a market presence of at least 5 years with positive economic profit over the last 5 years are eligible for this award

Eligibility Criteria	Companies with a turnover lower than INR 1000 Cr, a market presence of at least 5 years with positive economic profit over the last 5 years are eligible for this award
Evaluation Process and Key Criteria	There will be 2 stages of evaluation with an initial shortlisting based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative metrics across key themes by CII core team of industry experts. This will be followed by a jury round comprising hand picked industry leaders from different fields. Key Themes: Financial performance across EBITDA, COGS, ROCE etc. Adoption and scalability of use cases Use cases and capability demonstrated across automation, digitization, IoT, analytics etc. Organizational metrics like talent development, skill-up initiatives, integration of agile concepts etc.

Recognising outstanding contribution & innovation of companies in ESG

About the Award	The Sustainability Champion CII-TCM Award is to recognize and felicitate companies that have consistently delivered outstanding contribution & innovation in ESG space
Eligibility Criteria	Companies that have been in the market for a minimum of 3 years, generated positive economic profit over the past years are eligible to receive this award.
Evaluation Process and Key Criteria	There will be 2 stages of evaluation with an initial shortlisting based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative metrics across key themes by CII core team of industry experts. This will be followed by a jury round comprising hand picked industry leaders from different fields. Key Themes: Financial performance across EBITDA, COGS, ROCE etc. Environmental factors like renewable energy usage, recycled water usage, waste treatment, carbon footprint etc. Social factors like gender diversity in workforce, recordable injury rate, other societal initiatives etc. Governance factors like wage gap within organization, gender diversity within the board etc.
